A phone call away
A text and you would say
“I’ll be right there”
And all will be okay.

So why is my phone
Sitting all alone
Refusing to ring it
Still as a stone.

Pick up pick up pick up
“Please pick up”
The phone remains still
Pick up the nonexistent call
The call I never sent.
